Providing Quality Education
Due to the current economic situation of the country, it has become quite difficult for most families to support thier children to school leading to alarming increase in the number of stay at home childrens as well as a very high level of illetracy in the country. At the Shile Akinjo Foundation, our aim is to improve the quality of education of children and young people (18 years and younger).
How can we achieve this?
- Partnering with local schools: We partner with local schools to provide resources and support to non-privileged children. This includes funding for school supplies, hiring additional teachers, or providing extracurricular activities.
- Providing scholarships: We provide scholarships to non-privileged children to help cover the costs of tuition and other educational expenses.
- Providing vocational training: In addition to traditional academic education, we provide vocational training to students who are willing to improve upon the skills they already have.
- Providing basic necessities: In some cases, some of these children may struggle to focus on their education due to a lack of basic necessities such as food, clean water, and medical care. Providing these necessities help improve academic performance.
- Providing after-school programs: we aim to offer after-school programs, which can provide a safe place for children to learn and do homework, as well as participate in extracurricular activities.
- Educating parents and the general public about the importance of education to children.
